The RSA House Chandelier by Troika is Technologically Modern

By repurposing a Fresnel lens, the RSA House Chandelier creates a stunning optical illusion that is hard to take one's eyes away from. What appears to be plastic-like, overlapping rings are simply patterns of light that have been projected onto the ceiling by eight high-power LEDs through the lens itself. When the light is turned off, the chandelier becomes barely noticeable.

The RSA House Chandelier was conceived by Troika, a design studio based in the United Kingdom. Created for the Royal Society of Arts‘ headquarters in London, it is as dramatic as a giant crystal chandelier without all the fuss. All it is comprised of is a polished brass cradle, LEDs and a Fresnel lens. The RSA House Chandelier is part of a larger refurbishment project by Matthew Lloyd Architects.
