Rowntree’s Dessert Pastilles Can be Enjoyed without a Spoon

The Rowntree’s Dessert Pastilles are being launched by Nestlé in the UK and Ireland to offer consumers with a sweet tooth an alternative way to enjoy a range of dessert-inspired flavors without the need for a spoon. The treats feature a vegan-friendly recipe that mimics the flavors of several dishes including Blueberry Pie, Mango Sorbet, Apple Crumble and Cherry Bakewell. The product comes on the heel of the brand's announcement last year of its vegan-friendly recipe overhaul that saw gelatin removed from the recipe, while still retaining its soft, chewy profile.

Brand Manager for Rowntree's Meg Miller spoke on the new Rowntree’s Dessert Pastilles saying, "There has been an incredible response to our slightly softer, vegan-friendly Fruit Pastilles and we’re delighted consumers agree that the chew remains as fabulously fruity as ever. Now we are introducing an innovative twist on our classic pastilles with four on-trend flavors that evoke the taste of some of the nation’s best-loved puddings."
