Rand McNally Publishing has introduced a new cartographic product titled The Official Map of the Route 66 Centennial. The company collaborated with the Route 66 Centennial Commission on this map.
The physical Official Map of the Route 66 Centennial map features curated points of interest on the stretch from Chicago to Santa Monica, historical details, "secrets that define the Mother Road," and scannable codes that provide access to "the Route 66 Centennial's directory of official events, festivals, and activities along the entire route."
A portion of each sale of The Official Map of the Route 66 Centennial will be directed to support the Route 66 Road Ahead Partnership's Preservation and Economic Development Grant Program. As the designated centennial commemoration approaches, individuals planning a pilgrimage along the iconic roadway would value an authoritative, officially-sanctioned resource that consolidates essential stops and state-by-state navigation into a single, reliable document.
