Guitar Anatomy Ads

The Rolling Stone Magazine Campaign States "We Are Made of Rock"

The Rolling Stone Magazine ad campaign goes straight to the heart of the matter with a surreal image depicting a guitar made of a skeleton. Yet instead of being one of the crazy customized crafts from a music lover, it is an illustration of a re-imagined anatomy that drives home the slogan, "We are made of rock."

Conceived and executed by Accademia di Comunicazione, an ad agency based in Milan, Italy, the Rolling Stone Magazine ad campaign was created by a team of students: Giulia Ricciardi, Ivan Console, Michele Costante, Francesco Mendola, Adriano Disabella, Filippo Vizzani and Alberto Cangialosi. The illustration was designed by Davide Calluori and Daniele Tribi, who added an intricate heart detail that truly solidifies this poignant connection the publication has with music.
