RoBoHon Teaches Kids to Brush Their Teeth with 'GUM Play'

RoBoHon is a small Japanese robot that resembles a toy, but boasts many of the same features as a modern mobile device, as the bot boasts the ability to make calls and more.

New apps are continually being developed for RoBoHon, and one of the newest collaborations introduces an educational application to teach kids to brush their teeth with the GUM Play smart toothbrush by Sunstar. The app includes four modes, one that is musical and another that takes the form of a game to challenge young players to rid their mouthes of bacteria.

As well as offering a way to make brushing one's teeth far more fun, RoBoHon is able to store and analyze data and offer insights and recommendations about one's dental hygiene and brush usage.

Considering that RoBoHon became one of the most successful robots among consumers in Japan, this new app has the potential to significantly make the mundane activity of toothbrushing a much more enjoyable experience for kids across the country.
