The Conceptual 'Ring Pillcase' Prevents Pills from Being Dropped

The humble pill box has been given a design and user-conscious overhaul with the conceptual 'Ring Pillcase' that aims to deliver an enhanced experience for those who need to take daily medications. The spherical pill box works by being placed in the palm before being turned 60-degrees to reveal a small opening that's just big enough for the medication to come through. The pill can then be placed into the palm to prevent it from being accidentally dropped on the floor, which will thus increase overall hygiene.

The conceptual 'Ring Pillcase' is the design work of Nendo which explained the medication container further saying, "The user first places the case upon their palm and then turns the upper component 60 degrees counter-clockwise to reveal a slot. The slot was designed to face the user so the latter might easily see pills before dispensing. Then, gently tilted toward the user, the pill case releases one to two pills onto the user’s palm, from which the pills may be taken after the case is lifted."
