'Ridiculous Minigolf' is Fun and Quirky

Tom Scott decided to celebrate his 10,000th day on earth by asking programmers and designers he knew to make a series of 'Ridiculous Minigolf' courses. The results included a series of courses that were based off popular video games.

The 'Minecraft Hole' mimics the video game's landscape and even includes a moving blockade. If one really wants to be a true gamer, the 'Wii Nunchuk Controlled Labyrinth' allows golfers to control a moving maze with a 'Wiimote,' as they attempt to maneuver their ball towards the hole. By far the most visually appealing are the 'Portal Holes,' which include flashing lights and lasers. To replicate the portals in the game, the golfer hits their ball under a wall and another magically pops out on another course.

These minigolf holes will be on display at the Derby Maker Faire on June 3rd, 2012.
