Playfully Renovated Homes

This Home Has a Slide, Swings and Rock-Climbing Wall

Indee Design have taken a fairly drab duplex home in the Canadian city of Montreal and reimagined into a wonderfully renovated home that prioritizes open spaces, aesthetic design and several play-encouraging cues that aim to inject a dose of fun and exploration for adults and children alike.

Dubbed 'Atelier Chabot,' this renovated home is focused on a large and well-lit central living room. Elsewhere, a slide is embedded into the kitchen counter while swings have been placed in the central space for a seating experience that's more fun than simply plopping down on a chair or couch. The kids' bedroom meanwhile is adorned by a rock-climbing wall.

The designs centered around a philosophy wherein the links between rooms were made novel and unconventional, according to Indee Design. "Communication between each room varies due to the original, playful, and unexpected elements placed strategically throughout the house, addressing the adults as much as the children," the firm stated.
