The Regio Design XXL Chopper Uses Training Wheels to Stay Balanced

The Regio Design XXL Chopper is the world’s largest functioning motorcycle at 10 feet 28 inches in length, 5 feet 10 inches in height, and weighing 5.5 tons.

Exhibited at the Motor Bike Expo 2012, the Guinness World Records recently acknowledged that the massive behemoth of a chopper, designed by Italian Fabio Reggiani was the world’s largest ride-able motorcycle. Measuring six times larger than a normal motorcycle, the bike had to demonstrate that it could travel a distance of 100 meters, which it accomplished.

Reggiani added stabilizing wheels to the huge wheels to enable it to stay balanced during the record-breaking attempt. While he says the bike can travel without the stabilizers, he "wouldn't want to run the risk of it toppling over." The Regio Design XXL Chopper, otherwise known as the ‘Big Bike,’ is motored by a 5.7L V8 engine, which packs 280 horse power with three forward transmission gears and a reverse function.
