A Red Empire State Building Creates Awareness for Japan Dolphins

If you were in New York City this weekend, you might have noticed a red Empire State Building. This iconic tower was lit up in red to highlight the issue of dolphin slaughter in Japan.

After watching the Academy-Award winning documentary 'The Cove,' the owner of the renowned skyscraper was inspired to do something about it and hosted this red Empire State building event, which was attended by director of The Cove Louie Psihoyos and actor John Leguizamo, as well as Leilani Munter, a professional race car driver and volunteer of Save Japan Dolphins. The entire event was filmed and photography from the event will be distributed to Japanese media in an attempt to help spread the word and ask for support in stopping the killing of dolphins in Japan for meat.
