‘Bulbous' Sculptures Made From Plastic Milk Bottles

This sculptural light fixture and decorative vases are part of the ‘Bulbous’ collection by Caroline Saul of Brighton. The pieces are all made from recycled white plastic milk bottles she has carved out and enhanced with some sort of dye to create a gorgeous watercolor effect.

Clicking through the gallery above, it’s hard to believe that the image of the two bowls pictured in the fourth frame is not a painting.

Almost light as air and less likely to break than ceramic ornaments, Saul’s exquisite ‘Bulbous’ vessels save plastic from landfills and create a stunning objet d’art.

It is really exciting to see artists such as Caroline Saul create such fabulous items from the least likely materials, which will then be purchased and enjoyed for years.
