Rustic Dockside Bars

The Dockyard Bar's Reclaimed Materials Design Uses Authentic Finishes

The Dockyard Bar in Manchester by Lomax Interiors features a reclaimed materials design that gives an authentic taste of the sea without requiring anybody to get on or in the water.

Since the new bar is located on the Salford Quay Side, the bar wanted a design that would be a reflection of the actual docks it is nearby. Lomax Interiors used industrial materials like concrete, old wooden pallets and textured oak, which were weathered to look as if they were put through trials at sea, making the whole interior cozy and very cabin-like. With mismatched bar stools and chairs at this late night spot, it's easy to feel like just another one of the crew.
