The REBIRTH Table looks like a typical table at first, until the viewer's eyes travel down its length to take in the coiling legs supporting its body. Like a mess of ropes trailing from a levitating drawer, the REBIRTH Table can easily be likened to a hot balloon landing, albeit a very rectangular one at that.
Designed by Meik Studio, a creative firm based in Portugal, the REBIRTH Table is part of their 2012 exclusive collection. According to Plusmood, it is "a table inspired by the act of rebirth, the simplicity of the act of wanting to be different." Graceful and minimalist, it is nevertheless slightly odd and even alienesque. Yet the way is rises from the ground is full of lightness, inspiring peace of mind.
