Rachel Aust Captures Beauty in Natural Settings

Rachel Aust is young and talented enough to enter near 'young prodigy' status. At just 19-years-old and two years in the photography game, Rachel Aust is quickly establishing herself as a photog to watch out of her native Brisbane, Australia.

Rachel Aust attended the Queensland College of Arts where she pursued a Bachelor of Photography for eight months before leaving when she felt she could learn more on her own time than in the classroom. With a few shoots of local brands under her belt, Rachel Aust took to the desert for her latest editorial in an attempt to connect fashion and nature.

In Rachel Aust's first major international editorial, she does a fantastic job of capturing her models Lutece and Yasmin in shots that effectively showcase her gorgeous backdrop and also display a natural sex appeal in her models. With her international editorial debut a resounding success, it shouldn't be long before Rachel Aust reaches her next goal of traveling for photography. "In the future I hope to be able to book more jobs in cities other than Brisbane, such as Sydney and Melbourne, and eventually travel overseas to shoot, Singapore, London and New York are all places I would love to work," she told the Ben Travato Blog. "I feel that being able to travel would expand my aesthetic taste and help my work grow. I also hope to have a lot of my editorial work published in magazines within the next year or two."

Implications - One of the most effective ways a company can sell its image is by highlighting a radical destination that represents the brand. Whether it be an island, desert, or a secluded beach, by placing its advertising in that location, the company sends non-verbal cues to the consumer about the type of mood they will be in if and when they utilize their product. This helps consumers associate a memory or a subconscious feeling with the brand, and ensures that consumers know what type of company they are supporting when they purchase their products.
