The Quorn Mission Snack Swap campaign has been kicked off by the brand with the help of a Tom Cruise lookalike in the UK as a way to play on the excitement surrounding the real actor's latest film Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning.
The campaign itself will see Quorn's signature animal-inspired puppets partaking in a mission to swap out meat-based snacks for plant-based alternatives and was launched with the aforementioned lookalike in London. The actor lookalike was available to snap pictures with fans along with a pack of Quorn Cocktail Sausages as a cheeky nod to the snack being a great alternative to meat-based sausages, just like the impersonator himself is to Cruise.
Head of Brands at Quorn Foods Lucy Grogut commented on the Quorn Mission Snack Swap campaign saying, "We’ve had so much fun with our puppets over the last few years, and they have become stars of the small screen. This year, we were excited to hear that our ‘Mission Snack Swap’ was launching back onto TV screens the same week as the latest Mission: Impossible film hits the big screen. Our Tom Cruise lookalike had a ball (and a bite!) with consumers, and it was the perfect way to start out summer of snacking. With such a close resemblance, he left shoppers really asking, ‘why choose the alternative?’"
