MoMA’s 'Quiet Mornings' Help People Find Calm Surrounded by Art

'Quiet Mornings' is a new initiative that's being launched at New York’s Museum of Modern Art every Wednesday morning during the month of October. As its name suggests, Quiet Mornings provides people with "a drop-in meditation space" inside The Agnes Gund Garden Lobby, which overlooks The Abby Aldrich Rockefeller Sculpture Garden. MoMA promises that the works of Claude Monet, Agnes Martin and Mark Rothko are a few of the inspiring sights that can be seen during these meditative morning sessions. As part of a collaboration with Flavorpill, there will be guided meditation sessions to close out the end of each event.

These Quiet Mornings are in line with a number of yoga classes that are being held in unconventional settings such as museums, all of which are helping to make spirituality and wellness more accessible to the masses.
