The Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 system on a chip (SoC) has been shown off by the brand as its upcoming solution for 2022 device that will provide a range of functions that will enhance productivity, security and more.
The mobile platform is equipped with the brand's seventh-generation Qualcomm AI Engine that is reported to deliver four-times faster artificial intelligence (AI) performance. The mobile platform also features the third-generation Qualcomm Sensing Hub that will enable the Always-on AI functionality as well as the Always-on Camera to continuously monitor the user via the front-facing camera for greater security.
The Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC is reported by the brand to have a 25% power reduction along with 30% faster peak performance over the previous generation.
