The New Pukka Plastic-Free Packaging Prevents Unnecessary Waste

The shift away from plastic in packaging is continuing to gain more traction, which is evident with the newly announced Pukka plastic-free packaging that will be observed across the brands entire pie portfolio. The packaging will be rolling out in the UK across the chilled single and sharing products, and boasts a completely recyclable cardboard design that eliminates the previously observed plastic window. This is reported to help save 11.4 tones of plastic on an annual basis, which will come as welcome news to consumers concerned about their contribution to unnecessary packaging waste with their purchases.

Heading of Marketing at Pukka Rachel Cranston spoke on the new Pukka plastic-free packaging saying, "Our own research shows that the new look will attract even more shoppers to the hot pies fixture in-store and we’ve included a ‘coming soon’ teaser on packs to let people know the change is coming."
