The Luchtruim Eindhoven Offers a Collective Creative Public Area

The Luchtruim Eindhoven is a space located inside the Merin that has been transformed to offer a collective workspace in a public area. The design of the room utilizes the open indoor courtyard to provide functional workspaces that encourage encounters between guests with communal tables, couches and lounge areas.

Despite the open layout of the space, Mulderblauw architects have created segmented areas using different furniture set ups to section off eating, conference, lounge and fitness spaces. The architecture is both modern and historic with the brick of the antiquated brick walls encasing the room coupled with contemporary, bright and modular couches, chairs and tables. The setting takes inspiration from a greenhouse with a glass ceiling that allows natural light to flood the space.
