Sophisticated Event Venues

The Proud Galleries Event Space is Multi-Functional

London-based Studio Tilt was inspired by 18th-century coffee houses when designing this event space for Proud Galleries. Located along London's Haggerston Basin, the space has a beautiful view of the Regent's Canal.

The most important aspect of the design is its flexibility; the space has to be many things at once, including a restaurant, bar, cafe, library and gallery. The architects made sure to use "effective programming of events and clear synergies across spatial zones," in order to achieve this objective with the limited floor space they had.

The different territories of the space are demarcated by the use of specific materials, creating a spatial arrangement that prioritizes both privacy and openness. Double-height windows ensure the space is flooded with natural light.
