Sacha Baron Cohen Crashes Prop 8 Rally

Proposition 8, often just referred to as Prop 8, is under scrutiny again today, and Sacha Baron Cohen is making sure he has his say.

The star, best known for his role in Borat, crashed the LA Prop 8 Rally in his character, the flamboyant Austrian fashion journalist, Bruno.

Prop 8 refers to an amendment on the controversial gay marriage laws in California, specifically a proposition entitled "Eliminates Right of Same-Sex Couples to Marry." If Prop 8 goes through tomorrow, gay marriage will no longer be recognized in the state and "only marriage between a man and a woman is valid or recognized in California."

Sacha Baron Cohen won't stand for it though, especially not when he's in character.

"Fittingly, he wore a blond Dutch Boy wig, possibly trying to disguise himself as a Mormon supporter of the ballot measure against gay marriage," the LA Times blog said of the Prop 8 rally.
