New York City's largest legal dispensary, The Travel Agency, has been going viral for its Cannabis Carrier Pigeon Program (internally known as Project Pigeon) centered on an unconventional delivery service, resulting in millions of views and skyrocketing engagement. "Project Pigeon was built as a playful campaign that sparks joy, conversation, and destigmatization," said Chesen Schwethelm, Chief Marketing Officer. "The goal was to raise awareness that The Travel Agency is New York's quickest, most trusted legal cannabis delivery service—we're just using wheels, not wings."
The creative concept, developed to challenge cannabis' restrictive advertising barriers, never involved actual test flights, and content for social media was captured with the care of licensed handlers and SOS Safety On Sets Animal Services. And to support ongoing bird rescue and rehabilitation in New York, The Travel Agency donated to the Wild Bird Fund.
