The Porcelain and Gradient Pendant Lamps are Inspired by Shipyards

Wendy Legro and Maarten Collignon, recent Eindhoven grads who founded the Rotterdam-based Studio WM, have created the Porcelain and Gradient pendant lamps. Inspired by their local shipping yards, each lamp has a counter-weighted pulley system that allows it to be adjusted easily and conveniently.

Although almost identical, the Porcelain and Gradient pendant lamps do have one big cosmetic difference. While the Porcelain lamp is made out of ceramic materials and has an all-black matte finish, the Gradient version is crafted out of hand-blown glass and has an ombre appeal that fades from a yellow opaque to transparent glass.

The Porcelain and Gradient pendant lamps are set to be displayed at Ventura Lambrate during the 2012 Milan furniture fair.
