A basic floor light fixture, the Ponderlon lamp is a result of combining different elements to obtain a unique form.
Conceived and created by Iva Dinulovic, the Ponderlon lamp is made out of materials of pine, rope, card and steel weights that interacts in ways that ensure a practical yet pleasing design. According to the designer, "the amount of tension in the rope as well as the angle and the distance between heavy weights and a central piece of wood" control the lamp. Thus physics comes into play.
