Sustainable Coastal Abodes

The Point Loma House in San Diego is the Epitome of Eco-Architecture

While many mansions seemingly look to be the perfect contemporary homes, few follow positive eco-initiatives quite like the Point Loma House in San Diego, California does. This green abode was designed by the architectural firm Macy Architecture to be a sustainable space for its owners.

The Point Loma House is complete with substancial solar panels, ventilation that allows for natural air flow throughout the entire house, special sunshades, an interior atrium, efficient windows and million dollar views of Pacific Ocean, La Jolla Harbour and Misson Bay. To quote design website 'Freshome,' "you could say that the most striking thing about this home is the fact that 95% of anticipated electrical needs are ensured by a roof-mounted photovoltaic system." What a spectacular eco-abode!

Implications - Eco-initiatives were once considered something that green lovers were concerned about; however in recent years the green movement has been felt by mass society and companies need to be accountable for this. While many companies could once get away with falsely labelling themselves as green, consumers not demand publicized and substancial green initiatives across all industries.
