The ‘Plants Out of Place’ Honors Weeds and Overlooked Foliage

Swedish gardening house Coloni and Studio Aikieu created this unique art exhibit titled Plants Out of Place, which aims to pay tribute to overlooked plants and weeds. There are many unwanted wild plants and pieces of foliage growing throughout cities and towns that tend to be ignored.

The elegant plant exhibit displays a wide range various species that have been delicately placed in particular arrangements with specific backgrounds. One display uses a pink tablecloth and a white plate containing a soap dish with a piece of raw salmon and mushrooms. Next to the soap dish there is a tiny fork and a drizzle of red sauce. The entire exhibit features similarly artistic displays, which all create a cohesive foliage-based portfolio.

While unwanted plants might seem annoying to some people, the Plants Out of Place projects showcases the beauty of these living species.
