Eco Bulk Food Kiosks

This New Self-Service Refill System is Housed at London's Planet Organic

This ingenious new self-service area for buying bulk foods was recently installed in the Muswell Hill branch of London's Planet Organic all-natural grocery chain. Currently testing at that location, the system could launch across multiple locations based on how it is received.

The clever, eco-friendly system is a project of Catherine Conway, who had previously run a shop in Islington called Unpackaged that revolved around the same system.

This sustainable grocery store innovation is similar to a market in Amsterdam that offers the same service. Customers are encouraged to bring their own reusable packaging from, while products included in the self-service refill system include everything from oats and quinoa to balsamic vinegar and chemical-free cleaning products.
