This pink moth breed is a step toward getting rid of the stigma that surrounds not only moths, but bugs in general. The rosy maple moth is a breed of moth whose color completely differentiates from the typical sweater eater variety.
It's rare, but there are times when insects don't seem so creepy and actually seem interesting and, dare I say, cute. This moth is one of those rare varieties, with its pink fluff and yellow stripes it looks more like a piece of fabric than a bug, though I would recommend against eating it.
The bugs are native to Canada and live in areas surrounded by maple trees, hence the 'maple' in the name.
