Homespun Cooking Contests

This Year's Pillsbury Bake-Off Appeals to a New Generation of Cooks

The Pillsbury Bake-Off is a cooking contest that was first run by the Pillsbury Company in 1949. Following this, the contest has been run both annually and biennially, but this year it is being reimagined for a new generation of home cooks.

This year's Pillsbury Bake-Off is being held in partnership with Food Network and Ree Drummond of The Pioneer Woman blog. For this year's contest, participants are encouraged to share how they use Pillsbury products in family favorite recipes and tell the stories behind them.

For the contest, at-home chefs are invited to enter their creations in categories like Cozy Breakfasts, Appetizers for Any Party, Dinners with Heart and No-Fuss Desserts. One grand prize winner will receive a kitchen makeover from GE Appliances, $50,000 in cash and appearances in The Kitchen and Food Network Magazine.
