Get Product Info From Your Cell Phone

In the next few years, Japanese people can use their cell phones in convenience stores to get product information before they buy. Family Mart C. Itoh & Co, and Toshiba TEC, have cooperated the new project, which is a new electronic tagging system. In the trial period, the companies offer the tagging system to Familay Mart around Tokyo. Customers can use their cell phones and scan the tag to get the detailed information of the product that they're thinking to buy. Although the tagging system is very helpful for customers, it has not decided yet what the minimum price of products that the tag should be applied to. Since the tag costs 50 yens, it's useless if the tag sticks on really cheap products.
