Peter Som Spring 2012 Collection is All About Flower Power

You don’t have to be a fashion insider (or even like fashion all that much) to know that the 60s are back in a big way next season, and the Peter Som Spring 2012 collection was nothing if not a flashback to the days of flower power and mod silhouetes.

The Peter Som Spring 2012 collection showcased bright and punchy floral prints, from oversized roses—in practically every hue, from tangerine to electric blue—to more subtle, but still stand-out, painterly petals. The cuts, elegantly styled after the fashions of the Swingin’ Sixties, comprised boxy silhouettes including a tweed jacket, a day dress and a chic skirt suit. The swimwear was definitely retro, with high-cut briefs and bandeau tops; perfectly accenting the poolside looks were cute, round black sunnies.
