The Peak Table by Claudio Bellini Boasts Geometrical Dimensions

The Peak Table may be made out of simple materials, but it makes an impact visually. This is due in large part to the pyramidal base that could be likened to glacial formations found in Superman's Fortress of Solitude. But instead of being made out of ice, the base of the Peak Table is carved out of cedar wood.

Designed by Claudio Bellini for Riva 1920, the Peak Table is finished with a circular tempered glass top that adds a further geometric touch to the overall design. Made using technologically sophisticated 5-axis machines, there is a lightness about the Peak Table in spite of its heavy bottom. It is almost as though the base is rising from the ground, raising the glass surface to the sky.
