Swirled Pavement Installations

This Contrasted Roadside Stone Arrangement Utilizes Circle Shapes

Spark Architects recently put together a swirled pavement installation that utilizes different tones of tiles to create a series of circles that intertwine into one another. The pathway is modelled after traditional Japanese rock gardens, using the rocks to recreate the aesthetic of ripples.

The pavement is designed using small square tiles in contrasting black and light grey shades to really draw attention to the growing ripple effect. The aesthetic captures the movement of pebbles being thrown into water, and the circular ripples that is created from the impact. The artwork surrounds other small greenery, rock designs and the back area of the home as a way to provide an alternative sense of art using solid objects as oppose to vegetation.
