Passionately and Obsessively Crafted Watches presents Seiko's Power Design Project through seven conceptual timepieces exploring materials, form, and craftsmanship. Featured designs include Takuya Matsumoto's "Dial Texture," which uses high-precision metal stamping to create geometric patterns inspired by the Alhambra Palace, Naoya Sukeda's "Machining Marks," showcasing exposed tool finishes across a stepped steel case, and Miho Wada's "Bar Indices," which arranges polished hour markers into a dense grid across a rectangular dial.
Additional concepts investigate watch geometry and surface design, including Yu Ishihara's "Spherical Surface," where the crystal, bezel, case, and crown guard merge into a continuous curved form. The exhibition marks the third consecutive year Seiko has presented its Power Design Project outside Japan, highlighting the brand's experimental design process alongside traditional watchmaking techniques. The free exhibition opens at Japan House in London on August 27 and runs through September 15, 2026.
