Ugo Gattani Illustrates Paris 2024 Posters Honoring Landmarks

Paris 2024 will be hosting the Olympic and Paralympic Games this summer and the team showcased its official posters that capture the exciting energy of what's to come. The artwork is created by local artist Ugo Gattani, drawing in elements that show off the vibrant city and beauty of iconic French landmarks. These are unveiled at the Musée d’Orsay by President Tony Estanguet. The captivating posters tell a story and depending on where it is being viewed from, it forms an ongoing landscape of all 47 sports.

Gattoni explains, "When I was asked to design the Iconic Posters for Paris 2024, I immediately imagined a city-stadium open to the world, a suspended time in which you can wander through microcosms where Parisian monuments and sporting disciplines joyfully coexist. For me, this design has to be timeless. It is based on the golden ratio and has a strong academic foundation with a lot of architecture," the illustrator details. "Its originality lies in its surreal and utopian aspect, both in its composition and in the thousands of details that feature in it."
