The Parametric Lace Collection Has an Almost Unearthly Organic Look

The Parametric Lace collection looks like it might have risen up from the ruins of Atlantis. The armchair, the daybed and the ottoman all embody the same intriguing structure that's got a twisted and knotted texture of seemingly flexible material.

This series presents more of the surreal furniture concepts of Peter Donders. The designer is particularly fond of creating forms that bridge the natural and artificial worlds in fascinating and futuristic ways. The surfaces of these pieces appear to have been made up of pliable and stringy substances that might have been melted, warped and then hardened into abstract lattices. The resultant aquamarine fabric looks to have been molded to shape seats, backrests and legs for the Parametric Lace collection items, affording comfort and ergonomics in the body-complementing curves.
