The Parallel Practices: Tailored Structures & Kinetic Surfaces exhibition marks the first collaboration between artist Felipe Pantone and Los Angeles designer Etai Drori at albertz benda's Los Angeles gallery. Installed within the gallery's mid-century modern residence, the presentation combines Pantone's kinetic artworks with reimagined vintage furniture reconstructed by Drori. Custom textiles produced by Italian manufacturer Limonta feature Pantone's signature gradients, geometric patterns, and optical effects, extending his visual language from two-dimensional works onto functional furniture.
Drawing from vintage mid-century pieces sourced across Los Angeles, Drori digitally mapped, dismantled, and rebuilt each object while preserving its original character through contemporary craftsmanship. Pantone's wall-mounted works create a cohesive visual dialogue across the exhibition, exploring movement, repetition, and color through both art and design. It is on view until August 8th.
