Pablo Dorigo Sempere creates a collection of interesting paper postage stamps for the city of Venice. For the project, the Spanish-Italian designer used the algae that were polluting the Venetian Lagoon. As a result, the project has the potential to showcase the functional properties of algae, while also being sustainable in nature. This, however, is not the first time algae has been turned into paper. The first instance of this comes from 1992 by Venetian paper company Favini. By reviving this practice in the form of postage stamps, Pablo Dorigo Sempere is advocating for sustainability both in Venice and across the world.
