The First Ever Oscars Concert Was Epic

The first-ever Oscars concert was held this week to signify and celebrate Oscar worthy music. The Academy Awards orchestra whipped out their bows so that violinists could be heard from miles away. The Oscars concert hosted an 80-piece orchestra which entertained a crowded hall at UCLA's Royce Hall. Dramatic scenes were displayed on a gigantic screen behind the musicians.

Hip Hop star Common hosted the Oscars concert saying that "You can't separate the songs from the movies." The concert was not televised to the public, but lots of videos are floating around of the performances which are available to watch.

Singer Jill Scott performed Pharrell Williams' 'Happy' from the animated flick Despicable Me 2. Other performers of the night include cast members from Frozen, Pink, Adele and many more iconic celebs.
