Greek God Confectionery

Osamu Watanabe Creates Ancient Monument Replicas Out of Cake Pastry

Japanese artist Osamu Watanabe creates his works of art all out of edible materials. The talented confectionery designer uses the same materials one would use when crafting a cake and pastries.

In one of Osamu Watanabe's series of pastry art, he pays tribute to the iconic Greek God statues that resemble the ones seen in museums around the world. The project is called Sucre and features seven delightful edible masterpieces.

To create these unique and intricate sculptures, Osamu Watanabe delicately squeezes cream-like clay from a pastry bag pipette. Watanabe uses an assortment of different pastry pipettes to produce different textures and styles that he astonishingly creates.

It's a shame these pieces are meant for art exhibits and not buffets because they look like quite the treat.
