Elaborate Fruit-Based Tapestries

This Organic Carpet from Villa Eugénie is Entirely Made of F

Using only fresh fruit, event firm Villa Eugénie created a magnificent organic carpet. The fruity and elaborate carpet is entirely composed of produce. Villa Eugénie used fruits such as lemons, limes, apples, bananas and strawberries to create the colorful masterpiece.

The fruit-based rug was created for the launch of Kenzo’s Spring/Summer menswear 2014 collection. In addition to the organic installation, Villa Eugénie provided fruit juices from Bob's Juice Bar to augment the fruit-inspired theme. Visitors were invited to sample from the elaborate carpet and dismantle it.

Though the use of a massive amount of fruit may seem wasteful, Villa Eugénie managed to compensate for it after the event. At the end of the event, leftover fruit was donated to the Red Cross.
