Simple Faceted Wood Seating

The Orca Chair by Gud Conspiracy Blends the Present and the Past

The simplicity of the Orca Chair is deceiving. In place of typical clean lines, it has a faceted surface despite its fragile-looking body. From the slim backrest to the thin legs, everything about the Orca Chair is delicate. Nevertheless, its overall aesthetic is more masculine than feminine, as though it were simply a modernized version of a classic wooden chair.

Designed by Paulo Neves and Alexandre Kumagai of Gud Conspiracy, which is based in Porto, Portugal, the Orca Chair was created for WEWOOD, a company known for its wooden watches. At once modern and traditional, the Orca Chair fits in line with WEWOOD's signature style. Made out of oak, it would make a good companion for the DOBA Lamp, which was created by the same designers and share a similar look.
