Good Food Institute & Kerafast Inc. Promote Ethical Meat

In a bid to speed up and promote further research into the field of "sustainable, lab-grown, and cultivated meat," plant-based nonprofit Good Food Institute and digital company Kerafast Inc. partner to launch an open-source recipe catalog.

The online platform is created by Kerafast Inc. and it features a list of terrestrial meat and aquatic cell lines. The open-source recipe catalog "facilitates access to unique, lab-made bioresearch materials," ultimately increasing visibility of advancements within the development of lab-grown meat products. The movement toward cultivated meat is catalyzed by the need for sustainability and although it's produced through the use of animal cells—the process guarantees a "low-impact, clean alternative to traditional animal products."

Kerafast Inc. has partnered with more than 190 global research institutions which will take advantage of the open-source recipe catalog.
