Olympic Hotel Room Trashing

The Gadfly Project

The Beijing Olympics start tomorrow and the city is full of tourists filled with anticipation... and in some cases, rage. One American tourist -- a pastor to be specific -- vandalized two rooms at Beijing's high end Novotel Peace Hotel as a sign of protest. Not only have the photos of Eddie Romero's room made their way to the web, but the YouTube video embedded above is quickly climbing its way to viral status.

He splattered the walls with writings like "Beijing 2008 Our world Our nightmare" then took off without paying a cent. He has been in hiding ever since implementing his protest which he dubbed "The Gadfly Project." His time on Beijing can be tracked on his blog, Exodus8one.org.
