Olivia Xognet Draws Inspiration from her Move to Vallauris

Ceramic artist Olivia Cognet studied for six years in Los Angeles working with model clay and has since moved back to the South of France to continue her art. Cognet explains, "Here, I feel more inspired than ever. I hope to be able to make the monumental pieces that I dream of" about her move to Côte d’Azur's Vallauris.

Her new work is comprised of a variety of designs such as sculptures, lamps, mirrors, and vases -- these are made with abstract and organic forms that are inspired by the cultural history of Franch and the progressive elements of California. She starts each of her designs on paper before moving it to local clat in three natural shades.
