These NRDC Bumper Stickers Promote Eco-Awareness Through Insults

I never thought of eco bumper stickers as funny until I saw these NRDC bumper stickers. Copywriter Jose Uribe and graphic designer Juan Silva have teamed up to create these bumper stickers aimed at getting people to support a cleaner Earth by insulting their mothers.

These NRDC bumper stickers are clever and smart, yet avoid laying blame on anyone like most eco-bumper stickers tend to do. I especially like the one that that that calls a mom a dirty "beach." Words that sound like swear words (but aren't) are always winning.

I love the way these NRDC bumper stickers can appeal to those with lukewarm feelings about eco-activism like myself. Bumper stickers are definitely not enough to turn the tide in the war on climate change, but they're definitely a good start. After all, clever advertising never hurt anyone.
