The Novecento Marble Lamp by Davide G Aquini Uses Unorthodox Materials

It is not everyday people stumble upon lighting like the Novecento Marble Lamp. Separately, the materials and the design might seem somewhat the norm, but together they are completely unorthodox and unexpected. Inspired by the art deco style, the light fixture takes on the geometric shapes of a circle and triangle. The circle is made out of marble while the triangle is fashioned out of metal.

Designed by Davide G Aquini, an industrial designer based in Milan, Italy, the Novecento Marble Lamp is available in two versions: black marquinia marble with a brass structure and breccia marble with a green-water finished structure. The light source is hidden behind the disc, creating an eclipse-like glow when turned on.
