The Noir Vif 'Argo' Crib Uses Copper for Electromagnetic Protection

The Noir Vif 'Argo' crib is an infant furniture design created in collaboration with Ludwig and Dominique as a cozy, insulated space for children to rest. Named after the mythical ship from Jason and the Argonauts, the crib has a futuristic design that is achieved using natural walnut wood. The cocoon-like crib is lined with a copper mesh that enables it to ward off electromagnetic radiation and prevent it from reaching the child as they sleep.

The Noir Vif 'Argo' crib has an enclosed design that will allow for optimal air circulation, while still shielding the child from light, sounds and radiation. The crib was achieved with the help of MINES Paristech, Carnot Network of Saint-Gobain for the walnut surface on the stern of the ship-inspired bed.
