The Nito app is breathing new life into avatars. While we used to see the use of avatars all over the place, they have since gone by the wayside and for good reason, they often lack expression or proper calibration. The Nito app is different though, because it makes users align their faces up perfectly with the avatar, allowing it to follow along with whatever the user is saying.
The thing about Nito is that it is much better for sending greetings than for communicating in real-time, but that doesn’t mean that it’s not great at both. The goal behind it is to allow people that don’t necessarily get spend much time at computers the ability to embody a new character.
