SICT's Wristbands Monitor COVID-19 Patients & At-Risk Individuals

Silicon Craft Technology (SICT) worked with Thailand’s Department of Disease Control and the National Science and Technology Development Agency to develop smartphone-connected NFC wristbands that help to keep tabs on a patient's health status. During a pandemic, the NFC-enabled wristbands are being put to work in Thailand to track COVID-19 patients and at-risk individuals who are in self-quarantine.

The wristbands help data to be easily stored, accessed, updated and analyzed needed as changes in an individual's health or treatments take place. The wristbands are being tested for the purposes of helping to control the spread of the outbreak and advancements are being made so that the NFC-enabled wristbands can be used to support other agencies.
